Default Thoughts on a filter

So i am trying to bring down the iats on my sos stage 2 kit. I have come up with what I think would be useful. Let me know what you think on my idea. I am goin to use one of these two filters

I am going to cut out one of the fake vents in the bumper and attach a cooling duct with some ducting hose running into the engine bay into the end of one of the filters. Any ideas on which filter?

I would say add Water Meth injection, just use the -20 Peak and use the smallest nozzle, would be perfect IMO, and probably the way METH should be ran, unless you do a direct port

I know this is not really what you asked, but just some more info

They're not so high that I need to result to meth. Although I have thought about it. They creep up to 160 at times on hard runs. Jeff tuned all the knock out so she's running great. It would just be nice to lower the iats some more. Thanks for the input though. Something to think about.

the second one would work better because the whole filter is shielded from heat, like the weapon R dragon guard

hey was actually thinking of buying that filter tonight so i did a search for the quality of siliconeintakes.com filters.. came up with this

Its not the same filter, but its enough to make me question the quality of their products. I think I will stick w/ a known brand.

Do you have the upgraded heat exchanger? That brought down my IATs considerably.

I have an upgraded heat exchanger. My iats stay around 120-130 while cruising and creep up to 160 on hard runs. Good find on the quality. I'll find a known brand that looks good.

Soul Coughing reported about 20 degrees IAT temp drops (just didn't specify C or F) I imagine it's Fahrenheit. 20F is a decent drop

I don't know about that cheap filter... Why not save a little more and get yourself an AEM Dryfilter, I believe you can just clean them when dirty and they're known to filter and flow really well.

water/meth injection does wonders for cooling your intake charge too, but that requires a kit so it's more $$.

I've got the dryfilter. I was just looking at something a little different.
