Just getting a opinions on the precision 60-1 turbo. Does anyone know the max power this turbo produces, what rpms the turbo spools at?

I had the Garrett 60-1 with .82 A/R exhaust housing, which is pretty much the same thing as the Precision 60-1, and maxed it out on 110 race fuel. I made 581 whp and 440 tq at 25 psi of boost and it was fully spooled at around 5300 rpm. I also had the journal bearing turbo.

On that turbo he's getting out of it's efficiency range going any higher than that HP wise. Plus he's prolly a little higher (psi) than that, but due to various things in your intake you'll see less than the turbo is outputting I believe. If only they had at the very least compressor maps for all the turbo configs.

It actually was set at 28 psi (thats why I had such high tq numbers) and then would fall to 25 psi at about 7800 rpm and wouldnt hold the 28 psi no matter what. Thats absolutely all it had. The 581 whp number was at 9000 rpm and 25 psi, actually 24.6 psi to be exact. If I could find my dynojet run, I'd post it. It had roughly 500 whp at about 5800 rpm and gradually increased to 581 whp by 9000 rpm. It had a very meaty powerband and was basically making as much tq that if I had a more efficient larger turbo, it would have been closer to 700 whp.

what is the 60-1 comparable to in size a gt35? Or a 6062? I am assuming the inducer is 60, so what is the exducer also 60?

The turbo will get the job done for most people. Its a bit old, but will make power like on Spoolin's car.

Revenge, its slightly larger than a 3076R, with a 59mm inducer and its rated for 60lb/min(hence the name).
