Default Tial wastegate questoin

Soooo this maybe a stupid question but im going to ask anyway.

I have the new Tial 44m MVR and its has holes in the top of it for "water cooling". I was curious how necessary or when would it be necessary for a person to use these? The reason I am troubled by it is bc I am already having to T lines for my coolent cooled turbo and T'ing more lines for a wastegate I just dont see the nesessity for it. The car is a fully built/Stroked S, the only thing stock on the car is the cams. I have a "full race" set up with a gtx30 turbo. Hopefully this helps with the answers. O and no I will not be tracking the car either, long drives though will def be happening as in 80-200 mile drives at a time on the weekends. Thanks ahead of time.

Totally your prerogative; if you don't want to use them, simply leave the ports open.

To be honest I'd consult direct with TIAL instead of s2ki.

You could have sent this as an email to them and gotten the correct response.

I know that a water cooled turbo don't have the option to use the water jacket. If you don't do it you will destroy the turbo. This wastegate may require it to not self destruct.

Ask TIAL.

You'll be 100% fine without it.

Taken directly from Tial's site.

- Integrated -4 AN water cooling ports that cycle a small amount of coolant through the actuator top to keep the temperatures down in extreme conditions such as road racing. These are leak tested after installation from the factory and can be removed if not utilized.

Just leave them open unless you wanna buy caps for them.
