Timing chain cover removal
I'm going to tap it tonight. But I remember reading on here somewhere of what NEEDS to be removed and what doesn't. Yet. I've looked for an hour and can't find it. Input ?
You don't need to drop the pan for this correct ? I need to know how much Honda bond to buy/ how much time I'm looking at.
Not needed to remove? Pan ? Alternator?
Needed to remove ?
Crank pully Ect ect ?
Any tips ? Angle ?

Pan needs to be removed along with the most of the pulleys and the coolant line that runs across the cover. I think that's it. One tube of sealant will be enough and if you've never done anything like this before give yourself a few hours to complete the job.
i removed the pan. dont know if you have to or not. a helper for the crank pulley makes it so much easier. a 5ft cheater pipe over a breaker bar seems to work ok for the pulley. one tube of honda bond will be more than enough. other than that... bunch of 10mm bolts. easy once you get the pulley off. good luck

Pan deff needs to come off, and yea unless you have like a 3/4inch or a really badass 1/2 inch impact if you can even fit it in there. But I just took 2 jack handles put em on a breaker bar wala homemade cheater bar lol that's deff the most difficult part of the whole process.

Best to plan on taking off the pan.
I've done this job, it was very easy, drop the oil pan and the crank pulley, the hardline coolant (which has a hard to see screw holding it in place behind a pulley) etc. Not too hard, be sure to seal things properly with honda-bond EXACTLY how the manual shows when you reinstall.
I removed the pulley with my floor-jack handle as a cheater bar along with a breaker bar. The portion at the top of the cover needs to be well covered in honda-bond where it hits the head, especially in the corner, the rest just needs a very thin bead applied all the way around. Note that it needs to go around the bolt holes, I do inner/outer on the bolt holes so they could never allow a leak even if a bolt fell out etc. though the manual doesn't demand it.
It's a straight forward job for the most part.
