took head off cuz overheating problem
Okay I've been building my own turbo kit. And its finally done and took it out for a spin and driving it only crusing area and the AFR is staying in the mid 12's low 13's which is pretty good for crusing (off load). I put in Modify gauge module and for normal temp its about 10 bars. Well mine gets up there but no heat comes out of the vents then starts crawling up to about 14 bars (about 3/4 gauge) which is about 220-225degrees and then seems like the thermostat opens up then i get really heat coming out of the vents then goes back down to about 9 bars which the fans turns off and im sure the thermostat closes. It repeats the same thing but never gets any hotter. I have a brand new KOYO rad. I never took the thermostat housing off, so its still factory. I also have the 3mm Inline pro headgasket. Well I dont know if something got in some out maybe like a piece of silicone gasket got down or what but I did order a new thermostat 170degree and gonna put it in tomorrow. What do you guys think it would be? Runs GREAT!! but hate to have that heating problem.
Thanks
Jeff

OMG you gotta be kidding me?! I know a few fords I worked on that just add it and pop the relieve valve to let all the air out. well thats my problem. Thank you very much I'm gonna do that now.

well I think i found my problem.... Be nice if they had instruction NOT TO USE OEM CAP... grrr after $45 worth of fluid goes to waste. I'm gonna go get a spoon cap and that should fix. I did bleed the coolant and in fact I put the front end of the car way up in the air til the heater hose started to flow out the bleeder then shut that and then lift more then got the bleeder on the intake coming out. Then let the car down after the rad was full from the air. It didn't go no higher than like 200 this time but still no heat so I gotta get that cap to have the pressure to make the thermstat work. Damn its one thing after another. Thought I did my research pretty well but apperantly not. But thanks for all ur help guys.
