I'll have to disagree with you there! Iv had nothing but fun and good times since i went turbo. If its done right and tuned right you should have no troubles with a turbo setup.

Turbo set-ups have only been "perfected" and shown to be reliable in recent times (last year or so). Before that, history has shown that they have been terrible nightmares. I can put up many, many links to prove this.

I've been turbo'd since 2003 without any reliability problems. My initial setup was with one of the first Ultimate Racing kits/stock engine, and more recently, with a built engine and a custom turbo setup. Both were reliable and fun. Its all in the tuning.

You were one of only a few success stories. Others were not so fortunate.

This is the reason I went with a Comptech supercharger.

BTW...Since I found myself driving the S more than my bike, I sold my CBR to help finance my charger. Sometimes I miss the bike...but I really love the car!

I can't disagree. There were a lot of people who thought they could just bolt a turbo on and mash the throttle. But like I said, it's all in the tuning. Now XViper, ITS TIME FOR YOU TO COME OVER TO THE DARK SIDE.

I was torn between reliability and power

The vortech was the most reliable thing I ever bought. Bascially turn key and go.

Not saying turbos aren't but it takes more time and money to get them up and running the way you want.

Being that i'm power hungry I opted for a turbo and believe me the 2 don't compare.

Now bikes is another topic. I will not get a bike, simply not for me, too dangerious if I ride like I drive.

I have been tempted from time to time. However, my Vortech has been so flawless and otherwise so maintenance free, I just can't pull myself to do it. It's my daily driver and my toy. If it were just my toy, I'd do it for kicks. As my daily driver, I can't justify messing with something that's running as good as it is. I haven't so much as had to tighten the belt again since that first adjustment at 400 miles and it's been over 25,000 miles ago. Besides, I drive a 1600 lb/ft turbo monster at work every day.
