Default Trouble fitting Lovefab 3" exhaust

It looks like I'm gonna have to cut my rear bumper to fit the muffler. So, we took off the bumper to fit the exhaust without it. The exhaust was hitting the rear subframe and the junctionn b/t the cat and the exhaust is lower than my sideskirts by like an inch and a half. I think the problem isthat I am running a UR downpipe and the stock cat. Icalled Cody and he says that the exhasut hanger should be straight under the hanger on the body of the car, but mine is pushed about an inch or so towards the rear. I think that when I get my Lovefab testpipe and downppe, I won't have these issues. As of now, we are just gonna get it to the dyno so we can have it running, but I dont think I can drive it cause the exhaust will scrape on everythin. Then when I do get the new Lovefab arts, I'm gonna have to get it dynod again. So Im wondering if I should get it dynod in the first place? Any ideas/suggestions? I am depressed.
Jonathan

Yea. That was the easy part, but the rest I think is due to the fact that my UR downpipe might be longer than the lovefab downpipe. Everything on the exhaust seems shifted back about 1.5 inches.

Jonathan, what exactly did you have to modify to make it fit? I heard that you need to remove the rear lower tie bar, but did you modify the stock one? I was thinking about ordering one of these from Cody and sell my current exhaust, but i'm just worried about fitment issues.

I wouldnt be worried about fitment. I think what is causing my problem is that I m using the UR downpipe. We removed the rear tie bar and that IS necessary, but wuite easy. There is an "elbow" right before the muffler that is supposed to be under the rear subframe for clearance. Mine is about an inch or so too far back and therefore the pipe hits the subframe. That in itself is not a problem. The biggest fear we had was that the junction between the cat and the exhaust hangs so low that I would smash it going over speed bumps etc. No big deal just another F@$!#ng month of downtime. You can kinda see what I'm talking about in the 6th pic. I am hoping that the Lovefab dp+testpipe combo will move everything towards the front of the car an inch and that then it'll all fit right. I don't expect to get those parts for about 3 weeks however, and I don't want to cut my bumper now just to find out later that I didn't have to. Damn Damn Damn

It looks like the flange on the downpipe is not "clocked" in the right position causing the cat to turn down rather than to the side. I suggest taking it it to a muffler shop and have them cut off 1.5" and weld it into position until you get your other dp.

Thanks John. I also thought about that, but I cant drive the car till it is tuned So I cant get to a muffler shop. I could, however, take off the downpipe and have them cut and weld it. Regardless, I have already cancelled my dyno time for Wed and I think I am just going to wait for the lovefab parts to arrive so that I can just be done with it at that point. Thanks for the responses folks. Just had a great day at the golf course for those who care.

Mine exhaust went on just fine. Although it is a little close to the exhaust outlet on the bumper, I think it is going to melt the bumper. I will see after my car gets back from the dyno.

The exhaust is made perfectly, I just have a diff. turbo kit, and I think that is what is causing my difficulties. I expect it all to be fine when the lovefab parts get here.

Hey jbot how long did it take for your exhaust to come in after ordering it? Just wondering as mine is on order and hopefully no fitment issues considering its only a catback....
