Default Tuners Chime in please

So i just had my tuner (who is a member here) come over to try and dial in idle and drive-ability so I could get the car moving. He was able to dial in idle but for some reason we are seeing 14.7in/hg vacuum at idle. we double triple checked everything. we cant find anything wrong. to rule out the MAP we tried out the onboard Haltech one and got the same results. is this normal vacuum or is it too high?

100% stock motor
1320 performance 4 bar sensor.

Haltech platinum. The first time we fiddled with the MAP sensor it was reading at 31ish in/hg off, Still 14.7 steady running.. second time thinking we saw a problem it was reading 25ish off, still reading a steady 14.7 running.

KeyOnEngineOff should be reading 0.

49kPa... at idle, that seems high to me. I will echo above post about vac leak, a miss-configured 0-5V MAP sensor, or gauge vs relative pressure config confusion. You want to see about 35 kPa of absolute pressure or -10PSI-ish.

Key off you want to see slightly above/below atmospheric which is 95-105kPa, 950-1050mBar (also hectopascal) or 0PSI. Look for that when key is ON but engine is not running. What do you see?

I am not trying to confuse you, just want you to be aware that in addition to different types of values it also has to do with whether your ECU is configured to read absolute vs relative pressure.

Than I would make sure map is calibrated correctly.

you could also hook up a mechanical gauge really quick on a vac line and see what it says as well.
