a good friend of mine told me that my ap1 engine woulg be able to take the beating without me building the engine???
he said i will be able to carry a good 9 pounds?
what do you guys think?

9 pounds? lol more like 20+ 700whp stock block. Many have done it and it will last for a while.

It all depends man on a 100 different variables. Just search out others setups to know what you may get. As far as last, ya some can last a while boosted, others not so long.

As long as your engine is in good running condition it will last. Provided you have a proper tune and don't run 87 octane. A good engine management goes a very long way. 12-17 psi isnt a problem at all for a stock engine on pump gas. Make sure you buy quality parts and have it tuned by a professional.

I think you can run 20-21psi or 500hp what ever comes first. You may need springs and retainers for a AP1.
