Default turbo comparison

I am a noob when it comes to turbos and I have a few questions,
1.) what are the higher quality turbo kits for the s2000?
2.)What is going to be the main difference between the GT30R 76.2MM 84 TRIM and the GT32 71MM 52 TRIM?

I really dont understand how they work. What does the "trim" mean? Which one would spool up faster? and what numbers would you be looking at to determine how fast one would spool up compared to another one...

I've tried doing some research but came up with no real answers to my questions..

the Full race, inline, and Lov fab are on the higher end for s2000 kits. the Greddy, Rev Hard, and ebay turbo are on the lower end.

Trim is the A/R ratio of the turbo... faster spooling turbos will run out of steam faster, and vice versa.

As they say... 90% research, 10% modification

trim is not the a/r ratio, trim is the difference between the exducer and inducer of the compressor or turbine wheel. The larger the trim the more lag a wheel will have, the smaller the faster it will spool. Inducer for example is the outer edge of the compressor wheel that you can see. the exducer is the part of the wheel thats tucked inside the housing that you cannot see.

Now, i used to have a gt32 on my miata, and i ordered a gt3076r for the s2k so i know a little about both. The GT32 will spool sooner but its not really a good match for the s2k engine. I would go with the GT30 since it will spool around 4500 and give you a nice fat powerband.
