Default Turbo Compression after engine rebuild

Ok so quick question here..

S2000 with a Greddy Turbo Kit or a In Line Pro Stage 1 Kit..

Hondata Managed..

All is working well the engine needs a rebuild.

The engine was stock.. in the setup

During the rebuild there is the option of decreasing the compression to like 8:1 or keeping it at the stock 11:1

Whats the best move with these kits, I don't really want to lose HP/Torque

Sorry if this sound silly I just need to confirm.

Not worth going 8:1 with the greddy kit imo. I would be looking for a different kit so I could crank kit up if I were going to go 8:1

Could adjusting the boost work?

Run the lowest compression possible so you can make more power on pump gas (if you have the right sized turbo)
HOWEVER, there is a point where pump gas will only take you so far, then you have to switch to a fuel with more energy and better resistance to detonation.

ok so..

I start with an 11:1 and want to go to 16:1 the turbo boosts 5

If I rebuild to start with an 8:1 and want to go to the same 16:1 the turbo will compensate and boost 8

I am assuming a Greddy or In Line Pro stage 1 turbo setup..

Also will it performance the same or better?

Only going for pump gas as I want this to be streetable...

Did i read correct?

You want to build it for 8:1 or 16:1 compression??

Have you considered e85?

Sorry factery motor starts with 11:1 but I want to build the base motor to 8:1

With a turbo on a factery motor at 11:1 I asume you can get 16:1 with the turbo putting in the 5 extra PSI...

I want to knw if I will also get this after rebuilding the motor with 8:1 base will the turbo be able to bring it up to 16:1

Is it better to rebuild the motor to 11:1 or to 8:1...

you assumed wrong

you cannot just add compression and psi (boost)

mathematically, that doesn't even make sense
