Default Turbo Filter/Screen/None ?

I've been using screen for the past few setups I've had.

Had a t3/t4 57 trim for 3-4yrs that I ran a screen on, and my 30r for all last season.

Turbo looked great, however I've been hearing of power reduction.

Filters look $hitty imo, even though thats riceR'ish of me to say...

Thoughts?

I have an AEM dry flow right on the turbo.. It isn't liking the heat of being directly bolted to the housing and is starting to stretch out where the clamp goes..

When I took filter off my car on the dyno on racegas It went from like 745whp to 770whp. That was with a K&N and I removed it and ran nothing just to see how it was. I always ran a filter I just took it off for the one dyno pull just to see. I wouldnt trust running nothing. I guess running just a screen isnt so bad.

i had heat issues with it melting and dropping off when directly fitted to turbo, so i did this

I would defenitly run a real filter (screens don't count). I you look at a turbo that has been run without a filter for a while (like 10,000+miles) the tips of the compressor blades will literally be rounded off!

I run mine like revenge's ^ just a little more to the left. I ran with a screen and a filter on the dyno I didn't see any differences. I run a 4" short ram with a cone filter.

I'm going to dyno w/the screen off..and the before I leave..have him to a medium mid 400whp/500whp pull and see...

At the very worst, dyno w/it off..then put it on for DD or whatever..

I HATE filters, lol.

bring a filter and dyno all three ways. in what i have read, a screen is the worst of the three for power. filter is second, and none is first. since you will be there, its worth it to see filter vs screen.
