Thumbs up Turbo Kit.. Regarding Greddys Kit..

Hey guys,

I purchased an InlinePro turbo kit with a Precision 3076 turbo, 1000cc injectors, and all the works. I also opted for the rear diff kit. Anywho, I got into some slight trouble and ended up selling everything to a buddy. Well, now everything is good again and Im back in the market for a turbo for my s2000. Im interested in the Greddy Turbo Kit, however I had a few questions:

1) Can I buy a different turbo for the kit? Perhaps another 3076?

2) Can I purchase aftermarket fuel injectors?

3) Can I use a different intercooler?

4) Can I tune it on AEM EMS?

Thanks, sorry for the nub questions, but I havent heard any word on anyone asking these specific questions. I checked around sites that sell the kit and they mention upgrades, but I have yet to find an actual site that list the availalbe upgrades =\

If you are going to do that, you will lose a ton of money. It would be much more cost effective to go inline pro again. The answer to all your questions is yes, but it will all cost you more money.

I don't think you'll save much money if at all by getting your own pieces. thats why the venders sell it as a "kit". I've thought about that myself and when i tried piecing it together the end result was about that same as the "kit". this is with quality parts thats is....

check out Pfabrications.com

they have a good lookng kit. I may get their kit.....the ELTM kit.

What do you think of perhaps supercharging my car? Can I still get an air cooler/intercooler?

You can use other turbo's on the kit as I did. I changed cause my turbo died. Why not just buy the inline pro base kit?

upgrading the greddy kit has become a big ass 'damnit' situation.

think of it this way..

'ok i want to upgrade my greddy kit. i want a bigger turbo. to get a bigger turbo i should probably get one setup for an external wastegate. ok, so i need a turbo and a wastegate. oh wait, id need a different downpipe then, too. so i need a turbo, wastegate, and downpipe. oh wait, the inlet/outlet on the stock greddy turbo is smaller than my new turbo, and it bolts direct on. so i need a turbo, wastegate, downpipe, and some piping. oh wait, i need more fuel too! so i need a turbo, wastegate, downpipe, piping, and injectors. oh wait, MOST turbos do not fit my greddy manifold! i cannot fit a 35r onto my mani. alright alright, so i need: a turbo, wastegate, downpipe, intercooler piping, fuel injectors, and a manifold. wow, this is like getting a brand new kit all over again, minus the intercooler, cold side piping, blow off valve, management, and a fuel pump....

damnit.'

GET A DIFFERENT KIT

Already owned a kit that is producing 570HP on a friends car that I sold him when I got into some legal issues and needed $ for a lawyer. I ended up selling everything and just keeping my exhaust =\ Now that everything is behind me, I want FI. I just dunno wtf to do =X Also, I dont want another IP kit, I want something different. But I dont want to wait for something that has to be made, thats why I was thinking Greddy. Perhaps Full Race, but Im quite sure they had to make it and dont keep them in stock =( Atleast thats how it was when I wanted to use the IP kit and use the Full Race manifold, they said it would take 9 weeks!
