Default Turbo kits for the S2K, what is available?

First of all, how much horsepower can the stock S2K transmission and rear end handle?

Second, on a stock engine, is it smarter to go with a turbo kit or a blower? Which will net the most hp gain?

Last, which engine would be the best choice to modifiy, the AP1 or AP2?

I'm leaning turbo since it has the most potential over all. Are there any turbo forums or websites dedicated to the S2K?

Its just my oppinion but one of the hundreds of things that attracts me to Hondas is the lack of turbo charged models. I think Honda has only ever built the City Turbo!?

As for retro fitting a snail. If my RX7 days taught me anything it was that turbo charged cars seem to eat cash constaintly and be a total nightmare if you wanted to push the power up and up. Not a huge FI fan at all though im well aware of the fantastic gains it brings (BNR32! ) maybe a supercharger just suits the S2 application better?

Check out the Forced Induction forum, there is a ton of information posted there. Also moving this thread to that forum.

do research. there are a lot of turbo kits out there for the s2000 just depends on what you are wanting and how much you are willing to spend. make sure you have atleast $7-8 grand to put into the kit and maybe more for tuning. stock motors can hold close to 500whp easily, as far as the tranny and rear end, just don't beat on it and dump the clutch and burnout and you should be fine. here are some manufacturers of turbo kits:

AFI Turbo-Josh-602-454-0792
Inline Pro-Ya-703-455-5805
Mase Engineering-904-268-3001
P-Fab-Pang-Info@pfabrications.com
Full Race-Geoff-866-FULL-RACE

those are probably the top turbo companies for the s2000, call them and talk to them about their products and they should be more than happy to assist you with some questions.
