Turbo And oil Filter Problem

Well, I bought a Revhard manifod and a precision sc61 off a guy who had it on his car. I go to put the kit on knowing it need a filter relocation kit, problem is, there isnt a bit of room to where the plate would fit either!!!!!

i believe when you install an oil filter relocation kit you replace the factory "plate" you have in the picture. i also believe if you have a water cooled turbo the lines that are attached to the factory plate get routed to the turbo.

ya im sure the oil cooler comes off, that should give you a lot more room, I relocated my oil filter to the forward beam

Check out inline pro for the kit, very nice and completely bolt on.

WOW!!! old and good times...

ok this is EXACTLY What you do. you have the get a "sandwhich" oil relo kit. basically, you unbolt the bolt that holds the oil cooler to the block. you place the sandwich part to the block, and the new bolt goes through the plate that holds the sandwich part to the block....

You have to get longer hoses for the coolant, and oil lines because your gonna be extending them to the new location. Similar to the inline pro oil relo kit. place the oil cooler on the relocation part, bolt it down with the bolt that you just had taken off from the earlier location, bolt it up to the new plate, hook up the coolant lines, and oil lines, add the oil filter, and VIOLA!!!! your done!

Good luck!
