Default Turbo options for ptuning kit

Anyone know if other turbo brands can be used with thia manifold. Like a borg s362, precision 6262. I know they need vband turbine inlets. Just trying to see what other turbo options there are. I dont think the gtx3076r would have alot of top end power.

What top end power are you looking for? Old GTX 3076R on E85 made 567whp at 18psi. Started running out of steam at 20 psi. It looks like newer gtx refresh models now make more, so 650whp not out of the question. Honestly IMHO 550whp is plenty for a stupid fast street s2000.

Itll be on pump 93 gas. Figure a larger turbo would reach close to 500whp on pump with alot of top end. Was thinking gtx3576 but the cost of that turbo is pretty high as well as other garret turbos. Just wanted to see if there were other options at a cheaper cost.

You get what you pay for, just sayin'. You might save money up front with a cheaper turbo, but you'll sacrifice on reliability and/or performance. If you sacrifice on reliability, you end up paying more in downtime/labor/replacement cost of a new turbo later. The new GTX3576R Gen 2 will fit for sure. I don't know if the PTuning kits fits with the larger 3582 compressor housing. But the 3576 Gen 2 is probably good for 650whp in E85, 500+whp on 93 octane.

You can get a 6262 with regular T3 4 bolt turbine inlet. They give lots of power

The t3 wont bolt upto the vband flange on the manifold. I dont think this really is a matter of sacrificing reliability on the turbo. Borgs have been known to be pretty dam reliable and the new precisions have been alot better on reliability.

The Borgs are certainly reliable as they are the second largest OEM supplier behind Honeywell Turbo/Garrett. However, their package size is bigger (usually larger compressor housing) so they are harder to package in the low-mount position. As for Precision, no way in hell I'd put one on my car having taken a few apart around 6 years ago.

Its honestly mainly gonna be a weekend street car for fun. I like the top end rush. Dont care to much for low end torque as it isnt my daily. Just something thatll be fun on higjway pulls and feel fast. This isnt gonna be my track car . I also figured the bigger turbo would produce lower torque compared to the gtx30 to keep my second gear from blowing. Id still be limiting boost in 1st and 2nd anyway. Figured the progressive curve in power of the bigger turbo would be easier on the drive train. Theres just so many turbo options its making my head spin. Im in it more for the fun driving factor.
