Default turbo question

not really sure how to use these forum sites this is my first time but i had a question about my car. i just installed a turbo an my 2003 s2k and when i try and boost the car all power cuts out almost like thi ignition is shutting down i think it may have something to do with the map sensor has anyone seen this before

OBX exhaust manifold, garrett t3/t4, vortech 15:1 FMU, walbero 255 pump, HKS ssqv, OBX 48mm external wastegate, test pipe
please help i have been going nuts trying to figure this out

You are using nothing to hide boost from the Computer.

Ditch the FMU and bare minimum get a E-manage. An AEM EMS would be a much better idea.

My initial thoughts are that you have a setting issue in your FMU--something to do with boost or fuel cut. What are you using for:

1. fuel injectors
2. spark plugs
3. boost controller

I am far from being an expert, but will try to help you out to the best of my ability. Also, for the experts on this forum, they will need to know this information as well to help you troubleshoot.

A location would be good to know also as some may even come meet you and see what the problem is.

stock injectors and plugs not sure of the brand but i am using a manual boost controller i got from a friend. is there a way to hide the boost from the computer even at 2 or 3 pounds just so i can drive the car to work until i get the money for an e-manage and do you know of a good place to purchase one

The lowest amount of boost you can run is what your wastegate spring is rated at.

You can't drive the car is any amount of boost without using either a MAP clamp like comptech's ESM, or the Boost cut feature of the E-manage.

You do not have any means to "hide" boost yet.
