Has anyone tried to use a VGT or VVT on a S2000...A buddy of mine came across one for 100.00 after seeing a wrecked RDX outside of a local junkyard...What would be needed to make this work if its even possible...Thanks....BTW he has a 2005

You can use a herion valve and one of the PWM outputs form your AEM to drive it. These are a bitch to tune though, I used to have to tune then on engine dynos when I worked in R&D a few years back. If tuned properly though, the turbo will spool faster and is generally much more efficient. Oh, you will also need 100 psi air supply, diesels use these because of on board air for brakes already being present. You could just use the Mac valve that AEM sells and drive it like an electronic boost controller, tuning will be much easier but the lack of an air supply will still be a problem.

 

I need to clarify a bit more, you generally have to tune the valve, i.e. gains (PID), or you will have some issues with overshooting boost or unstable boost from over correcting.
