Default TURBO-SAFE SPARK PLUGS?

300whp = 1 steps colder
400whp = 2 steps colder
600whp = 3 steps colder

HOWEVER.... which do you run???

Oh and i hear good and bad about irradium...whats the honest deal. I'm going to just a little over 300whp in the next tune. (~325whp) Anyone?

Also depends on your climate, as I am running 400whp and am only running 1 step colder due to humidity...I am wondering if anyone else in florida with my power numbers or slightly above is running 2 steps colder or 1?

Hokies, good reply, but he may not know your power output numbers...would be better if you posted them along with what spark plug IP used instead of just listing what spark plug they used.

I run NGK 7405 which is a 2-step colder plug. No fouling and no mis-fires. Denso's are alright, but they seem to be more fragile than the NGKs.

If you're shooting for around 300 go with a 1-step colder plug.

I'm assuming those are different from the BKR7IE which is ONE step colder...is that correct? Also, how have your plugs been holding up? I'm thinking of changing to 2 steps colder b/c I've been having a lot of backfiring and some breaking up @ mid-high ranger rpms (4500-7000rpm range) on occassion.

Ya, these aren't platinum. These are just coppers that won't last nearly as long as your iridium's.

I haven't really had the setup long enough to talk about performance but so far they've been doing well.

Hmm, Ya said these were 2 steps but it looks like maybe 1?
