Default Turbo to SC back to Turbo

I really need to start taking my ADHD meds.

Last fall I had a whole turbo kit installed including EMS. I never started the car once because I found out tuning the EMS was going to be as much as my turbo kit costed, so I pulled the plug and sold it and bought the comptech SC with aftercooler.

Well Ive had that on for a whole 4 months now and 3 of them the car was stored, but I am bored with the SC, peak boost at peak RPM is just boring really....
Even with my 4.56 gears.

I made 305 @ 6psi with the SC
Hopefully I will make around 375 @ 9 psi with the turbo

So I just sold the SC on ebay...hopefully the guy pays up... and now back to the turbo kit.

Once again I am going to do budget build and piece it together.

This is my list so far

PFAB log manifold -275
Precision 600 IC -300
garret t3/60-1 .82 ar-660
tial 38mm .6bar WG -200
IC piping -100
3 inch DP -will make my own
BOV -havent bought one yet
EMS -still looking
Injectors - still looking
3 inch exhaust -build my own

Don't forget.
Couplers for intercooler piping
injector clips, someone has some plug-in type jumper harness for obd1 clips also
aftermarket fuel pump if you don't have one
oil feed/return lines
Good luck.

i think i mentioned in one of your other posts that goin SC was a bad idea....

if you wanna take my advice this time...

go with a gt30r

it will give you a VERY nice usable powerband AND shoot for 450whp.......

I still need couplers and t bolt clamps

the plug and play clips are 65 but did not fit very well the first time i had them

Ebay has nice 3ply silicone couplers and tbolt clamps. Should be 50 - 60 for both with shipping.

I was surprised that you went supercharger honestly. I was excited to see your ultra-low budget turbo kit come to fruition.

How much was your quote for tuning? My shop told me they charge 140/hour for AEM tuning and that it'd only take 3-5 hours to tune my turbo setup.

I just sold injectors and an EMS two weeks ago - woulda been perfect for you

that's F'in nuts!!!

tuning should be *around* 500

when i had jeff evans tune the first turbo setup on my gsr it was only around $450.....and he's, well, an awesome tuner!

and i dunno, the 60-1 is just old technology....i mean sure it works, but with the 30r you would probally make more and have a better powerband....

a used gt30r can be found in really good condition for 700-800......
