Turbo Smart blow-off valve
I got a turbo smart on my SC setup (pushing a bit more boost)
you can hear the valve flutter a lot under partial throttle w/ the RPM's about 3500. As far as I was told this is normal operation w/ a supercharger. the thing w/ this valve is that its not plastic inside, its metal to metal contact so when it flutters it makes this click-click-click loud noise. Its annoying and people ask me whats wrong with your car.
anyone else running a turbo smart or any others on a SC that flutters like mine?

And Aus, im gonna have to check unde the hood, I forgot what I bought, its been a while
I was thinking of going with one of these or the RFL BOV because I want to be heard of corse, but they sound good. No fluttering but one loud PSSSHHTTT when you get off it. Is this the case with the turbosmart BOV's cause I have only heard the RFL but they seem to have a very similar design???

Well, from what I was told, its not the valve itself. Its the fact that its hook up to a supercharger and they just act differently w/ a SC setup. I dont know if anybody else has a different opinion

My Turbosmart is the Kompact:

The difference with our SCs is that they are always pumping air, but we only want it at WOT. So the BOV spends most of it's time open and you hear it exhaling whilst cruising. When you slam the throttle open the BOV should close (stops exhaling) and when you back off during change up it should suddenly open (whoosh) and then close again.
I would say that if it it oscillating between an open and closed state it is using boost pressure too much to open it. You may need to adjust the spring tension.

so now, what is the big difference between the stock vortech valve and turbosmart, I love the way the stock vortech valve just vents out nice and smooth. With higher boost it vents louder which sounds awesome.
