Default turbo troubles

i'm running an inline pro stage 1 at 6psi. i haven't driven the car in about a month because I've been busy working i went on like a 100 mile cruise today and on my way back the car had a real hard backfire as i downshifted coming to a light. once stopped dark blue smoke started forming a miniature cloud behind me. once the light turned i drove away and didnt really push the car at all it ran fine sounded fine smelled fine. at the next light no smoke nothing everything seemed to be back in its place once i got to the end of my street i pushed the car to 7500 rpm's still fine no loss of power or anything like that. so i went around the block two more times and still nothing. now i just ran out a few hours later and on a 5 minute wawa trip the car started smoking again. so the oil and antifreeze are clean and fresh the oil is at about 2k miles im going to change it.

the TCT is making a little noise but not all the time im going to sandblast the worn gear to fix it

so whats wrong??? im thinking possibly worn valve seals but that would make the car smoke earlier in the ride i thought. a little searching suggested possibly the seals on the turbo blew but the turbo has only 6k miles on it so i really hope thats not the problem.

possible head gasket
possible pcv valve

any and all suggestions are welcome im really just looking for a starting point.

What engine management? Are you fully tuned? Stock head gasket? What is your current oil level?

I'd personally pull the spark plugs and inspect them first. Then I'd do a compression test and leakdown test and go from there.

drove the car for 20 miles today. still smoking not consistently though. also i noticed alot of oil residue that seems to have spraued from the bov. kind of annoying that makes me think its a blown turbo seal.

I would lean more twards this than a HG issue.

i did the install oil and water cooled oil return is welded AN-5 i believe right where inline pro shows you to put it.

is it possible this smoke was just from the car sitting? the stealership mechanic thinks it might be the valve seals

Most of the time the valve seals leaking will be more noticeable on the deceleration. Forming a cloud of smoke around you when you stop
