Default TURBO VS SUPERCHARGER

hey guys im new to the site and i have recently got my hands on a 2000 honda s2000 ( all stock, only way to go) and i love the car and i was thinking of putting a kit on it but im at a cross roads. Im really not sure on going turbo or supercharger. Now my s2k is a daily driver and i have looked at some turbo and supercharger kits for it and i would like to get your opinions on turbos or superchargers and which would be better from a reliable stand point. im not looking for a huge power gain, something like 280-320rwhp. THANKS GUYS

lol well it is only a cat back so if i dont like it i will just swap it back out for the stock exhaust system. plus i think i will keep the invidia as a weekend system or something. lol when i go out wit some friends lol. but back to the turbo or supercharger. i was thinking if i decided to go turbo i i would probley go for something along the lines of the garret gt30r cause its not that big so it wouldnt be to bad low and top end. what do you think about the gt30r. and for superchargers do you have any good ones in mind. one of my buddys had a jackson racing supercharger on his type r and it was pushing 10 lbs and that thing ran like a bat outta hell but i heard that they dont make them anymore?

I have the Invidia Dual Canisters and can hear my Radio just fine. Stop exaggerating.

As to the OP's question...I personally prefer turbo for power potential and torque.

You should head over to the FI forum and do some reading. All the info and and then some that would answer your questions and help you pick whats right for you.

JR Supercharger on the Type R was a roots.

If you are looking at doing a roots supercharger then the only one for the S is the SOT/SXM kit.

Some light reading about the roots

There are other kits out there both Supercharger and turbo that will get you into the 280-330 range.

Superchargers
Vortech/Comptech (VT/CT)
Sience of speed (SOS)
Kraftwerks (KW)
Stage one tunning (SOT)

Turbos
Greddy
Inline pro
Fullrace

Of course the inlinepro setup and the full race setup will get you there but they are design to reach for a much higher power level with supporting mods.

Here is some homework reading, lot of it; you should not have many questions after reading all of these threads
