Well im pretty upset, i was at the track and broke my tranny going from 1st to 2nd. i was wondering if anyone has tried a supra transmission, an auto perhaps.

 

ouch! are you still on a stock diff? i figure that would go before anything else....

The turbo doesnt suck ..... the trans sucks ! They simply cannot take being pounded on !

 

Yup. Someone on here has successfully installed a Supra auto tranny, but it was for a 2JZ swap... If the bell housings line up on the 2JZ vs. the f20c, I would think it would work. I want to say it pushed the shifter back about 1/2-3/4", though. It does fit under the tranny tunnel, though.

Why not just get a Turbo 400 tranny? There is someone on here (S2QK, or something like "S2 Quick" when pronouncing his handle), and he is going to be using an auto on his drag s2k as well, I believe).

Please tell me this was not the new tranny you just installed... What broke? Synchro again?

ya i'm getting some serious grind on quick 1-2 shifts... I don't want to give up but when this tranny goes I'm going to get myself an AP2 unit...

 

Sorry to say , but that may help slightly . I did the same thing to my ap1 and its better but still will grind if youre not careful . The ap2 box isnt any stronger ! Those trannys just dont like to be dragraced .

 

Anyone know if or how the Supra transmission will fit or motors
