Default Turbos & Tuners

Hey guys, I have a few questions. I am trying to decide between the "Full Race" turbo kit, and the "Ultimate Race" turbo kit. My 03 is stock, which one would be safer with the stock internals? I just got my car and I seriously don't want to blow it up (I do however want to dust my big brothers 350z). Also, I know I will have to get this installed and tuned by someone really good...I live in NC and have no idea who to contact about install and tuning. I have another car so I could possibly drive the s2k to south carolina or virgina for a good tuner and leave it with them for a week. Thanks in advance everybody

UR would be the choice for running with all stock.

Gears and lighten the car as long as he doesn't do any mods you won't have much of a problem.

Check out my for sale forum. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...f=107&t=300043

I have a lot of the UR turbo parts for a lot cheaper than getting them from UR. This way you can just purchase what is still needed for the kit from UR and save probably $1500-$2000. Let me know if you're interested.

OR go Lovefab!
Sorry, that's off topic.
Of the two kits you mentioned, I would probably choose UR.

Thanks guys, I talked with both Geoff and Dan, and I think I've decided to go with the Full-Race. I have been desperately searching for days for a good installer/tuner around NC and I am having no luck what-so-ever. Do you guys know of anyone in this area that has a turbocharged S? I really don't want to have to ship my car to Cali.

Sidenote: I was told the Greddy e-manage was garbage and I should get Autronic engine management (3 grand installed). Is that a bit overkill, should I just get AEMS? My goal isn't a track car, just 320-350 Whp daily driver.

You can get a full Autronic ECU(with the extra goodies) for around $2000. I don't know why they would charge you $1000 for an install. Also, I don't think they make one for the S and the AEM EMS is an excellent ECU and just as capable as the Autronic for $500 cheaper.

Also, I have the first LoveFab GT1 kit, with a T3/T4 60-1 turbo. And on 6 psi I am putting down 310 whp and 193 lbft on a very accurate Dynojet and without tuning it yet. After tuning, I'll be around 330-340 whp on the same 6 psi. Then I'll tune to 8 psi and should be at 375 whp. I'm telling you this because I myself think that the LoveFab kit is much better than the Full Race and you get a lot better parts for the money. And you don't have to move or relocate anything except the oil filter.

Think about your choices wisely before commiting to Full Race and just hearing their sales pitch.

Yes,

Think about your choices wisely. Call up each company and see wich one you get to talk too. Then ask very stupid questions and see if they get answered. Then ask logical questions. Once done then talk with some people that have their stuff. For Lovefab you can talk here. But for Full-Race you will need to check out Honda-tech.com. Then check out who has what coverage across America. As of yet I don't see Lovefab on the list for SEMA. Not to be too harsh but this shows one of two things. An up and coming company or one that is not big enough to handle its own. I for one think that Lovefab is an up and coming and not yet big enough. Once you go through the facts then decide wich kit and company you go with. Call all of them not just one or two.

Just my .02

theres a shop in releigh (sp*) called RPM. Its like Ryans performance machines or something. They mostly do domestic work but they definelty know what they are doing. They have a nice dyno too and the tuner is awsome.
