Default Twinscroll turbo on non-twinscroll manifold?

Was wondering if anyone has tried putting a twinscroll, divided-housing turbo on a single-scroll manifold? Heard from reputable tuners/builders that you can still reap some benefits (although slight) of the twinscroll housing even though the engine pulses aren't segregated before. Thanks in advance

Bad idea. You can use a divided manifold with a standard housing, but a divided housing won't work well with a standard manifold.

No real gains from it. Its not bad, but its just no better than a single scroll. You have a twin scroll turbo?

I wish I could lol. At the time of the purchase of my manifold, there weren't really any twinscroll manifold options(maybe except P-fab) other than custom setups. If experiences proved beneficial, I was going to go with a divided housing 35r on my full race manifold. I guess this clears up a lot! Thanks for the insight everyone!

atp turbo offers many of the popular garrett gt turbos in twinscroll variants (with their custom housings)

it wont? You sure? Cause I did it for 3 years with a Gt3271 which uses the .78 a/r divided. it worked perfect, spooled fast and made 300whp. elaborate on why....

it's not that it won't work, you just won't see any of the gains associated with a true twin scroll setup. a twin scroll turbo on a twin scroll manifold should spool sooner and faster than a identical turbo in a non twin scroll setup.
