Camuman,

What kind of AFR are you running now with your tune?
11.8:1 WOT at the header collector, 12.3:1 0 vac tapering to 14.9:1 at idle -10 vac

OK. Thats about where I am at. A tad leaner at WOT, but just looking at the KW high boost thread where the guy was putting out 373 at the wheels and running about 12.5 AFR. I was just wondering if that was normal because I thought that around 12 was more ideal.

ehh, i never made more power leaner with my setup. the best way to do it is on a dyno, and just change AFR up and down and make pulls. i never made more power above 11.8 guys that say 12.5 make me think that was at the tailpipe sniffer, which would make sense sense since they read leaner at the pipe.

i rely on my sem built in at the header collector.

and i cant friggin wait to get the unicorn header in the car. i should get it by early the weak after next and have it installed by the weekend of that week. that make some quick street pulls to get AFR dialed in and then its fun time!

I doubt you would be able to fit an M90 in the same place (well, not without making a bada$$ hood scoop!) See what you can do with one of the new TVS units from Eaton. The 1320 would be pretty efficient for more flow with less blower speed, and is smaller than the m90. The Cobalt/Saturn guys have them as upgrades and see reduced IAT's and increased boost.

its all up in the air right now. for 300 bucks i can pick up a remaned mp90. tvs1320's are way more money, but yeah, i would like to try one of the two. honestly, i friggin wish it was a bolt in affair. which ever one i try, its gonna be a mission thats for sure. in the meantime, unicorn header should be bad ass. i just dont think i should port my blower since i will never get that money back, and may pick up at best 20 or so whp.

ehh, down the road i will see.

When we had real gas the normal ideal A/F for a roots style blower was in the 12.4 to 12.5 area up to a point depending on boost and compression ratio.

Now that we have ethanol in our gas a 12.1 A/F reading on a wideband equivalent/close to the 12.4 pure gas reading.

Looking forward to the new header results.

update

header is installed, but car is not finished, have to wrap up the blower install now. the header is so damn big that u either have to remove some of the header studs or remove the motor mount and jack the engine up. god what a royal pita. but its in.

now time for dinner with the family.

on a side note, what happens when your using a wrench and trying so hard to loosen up a bolt? well anyone thats turned a wrench can answer this. the bolt comes loose faster then you expect and you punch the ****** motor so god damn hard with your pointer finger that it bleeds under the nail LOL. seriously, i thought i saw stars when it happened and i said every curse word in the book.
