Do you offer different s2ki pricing than what is on your website?

[QUOTE=dsddcd,Oct 4 2010, 05:46 PM] Yeah, I have yet to figure this one out also, but it does seem to be independent of the coils.

Also, with the CBR coils, don't you have to modify it somehow since they use a threaded tip or something like that? Would AEM pencil coils work well too without having to mess with modifying it?

If you want a CDI ignition the M&W pro 14 is the way to go with honda CBR coils. Its 100% reliable and can handle 1000 whp+.

If you want to stay inductive the factory coils with a kenne bell BAS works flawlessly.

The LS1/2 coils have issues with breaking up at higher power levels with AEM. I had 5 separate cars running on the LS coil set-up with AEM, all of them had issues above 600 whp+ power level. Changing dwell tables did not cure the issue. Reducing plug gap helped, but still had intermittent misfiring issues. Coincidentally Haltech can run the LS coils up to huge power levels with not a flinch of misfire using the recommended dwell settings from them. Go figure.
Jeff, I was going down the same road and spent some time data logging and testing when I found some issues. I am sure you have tried this but I used a modified dwell based on the base LS2 coil wizard then modified the Coil Dwell factor and got more boost out of my setup over the factory coils at the same gap. I am also sure you are done messing with it but I also have some other components such as a custom set of wires that I developed with a large ignition manufacturer with an OEM style plug boot.

Unfortunately I have not gotten to do more testing but I think the potential is still there and the biggest power that the car made was 550WHP and up to 26PSI.

As always thanks for chiming in. It is nice to hear experience over guesses.

I had issues with the stock coils at anything over 800hp on e85. I am in the process of converting everything over to the AEM twin fire with the pencil coils. We have that setup on a k20 that is almost identical to the s2k and it is working flawlessly.

I know this is old but any significant advancements here? Is the BAS still the cheapest easiest way to go or should a brand new set of coil packs do it? I'm at 20-22 psi on e85 and anything more seems to start having a little breakup problem.

Have you gapped down the plugs?

I was talking to kings and they all run 100% stock ignitions with zero issues on 1000-1200hp. That should give you your answer lol
