Unhappy vibrations in the rear end

I have a inline pro rear diff kit on my car. I had been running It for awhile and noticed a very slight vibration In my rear end. I lowerd my car today an inch and a hafe and the vibration Is now ten times worse. I did not think that It has anything to do with the kit until I did a search. It came up with other people with the same problem out of the driveshaft shop cv's. I did not get any good conclusions on If It was the cv's or not. does anyone else have this problem with there car?

Thanks In advance.

I had the same problem with my stock diff, the inboard cv joints were worn (had pitting) and would vibrate the rear when accelerating. There is a pretty detailed thread somewhere on here with pics. You can get new cv joints, rebuild them or swap cv joints from 1 ide to the other.

You can swap the CV cups from side to side as well. Try this first before buying anything.

Also make sure your tires are balanced, sounds dumb but mine were getting pretty worn and didn't think much of it until I replaced them and my car is so much smoother.

Guys, he has the Inline rear. IIRC this is a R200 diff and custom driveshafts and CVs.

One would hope that for the money it would overcome the OEM Shakes problem.

Do the shafts not have removable cups? Unless its a different shaft configuration over stock I doubt it, if you look at what can cause the vibration to occur its worth considering. IF the custom shafts don't have serviceable CV cups to remove then disregard. With the OP's description it sounds like he as well as others are having the same problem as if it were a stock configuration.

Ok good deal.

I had a somewhat hard time finding these at a few of my local parts stores but eventually did find some at Auto Zone I do believe, I felt they were sub par in design to the stock ones however. I didn't like the way they secured to the boot. You can start at the part stores first but if you run into a problem I think ordering these through Honda would be worth doing.

What all did you have to do to change one cup out for the other?

i have read other people with the IP have had issues with the axles. With you lowering the car, its definitely something to do with the axles and their design. I think it was stantaur that had similar issues with his axles from DSS. Do you have the new or old design axles?

I have lots of vibrations after the InlinePro kit. And it's not the CVs....

It's amazing how tight the OEM tolerances are. Aftermarket often can't stack up.

My tech has to tighten and re-tighten all the InlinePro / DSS bolts on a regular basis, as the vibrations work them loose (no locking nuts or staked axle nuts).
