video: comptech non-ac + 4.77s

so, today i drove around and thought i should make a video. i thought about using the digital camera but it was easier to just tape my razr to the steering wheel. the above link was my first video of the day.
i later went out to the interstate and maxed out first through third but with the damn phone blocking my view and the modifry beeps still at the original settings (car accelerates too fast to distinguish the beeps as seen in the video) there was a lot of rev limiter tapping and clutch slipping.
so, the shifting looked like sheet and i deleted the videos of my cell phone. sadly the good ones were unusable as i had the sun reflecting and ruined the videos (found this out later on).
anyways, the comptech non-aftercooled kit at the stock boost level with the comptech reinforced differential with 4.77 gearing is a lot of fun. no traction issues, just half the time the stock clutch slips badly when maxing out gears and shifting to the next higher gear. i slipped in second, and third, don't know if i'd slip in fourth though. when the clutch does catch it's a hell of a ride. next time i go to the interstate i'll see how it goes going into fourth but most of the time i just stay local and do stoplight driving with max local speeds at 55 mph (saving me from the 6th gear 5k 80mph trips)...

make sure you get a new clutch soon. one night you're gonna smoke it just by flooring it and you're gonna be walking on broken glass to get it to a shop before it's completely done and you need a tow

trust me...i had your exact setup and that's EXACTLY how mine was. i had to drop it off to the dealer on my way home one day because the clutch had like a hair's width of grip left. if i made one slip it would need a tow. then i got the clutch installed and picked up an aftercooler at the same time...

if you have any questions lmk, i live in silver spring
oh i suggest NOT getting an ACT but a CC instead. the hard pedal combined with the frequent shifting required by FI+4.77 is not fun after a few weeks. and don't get a lightweight flywheel either. TRUST ME.
yeah i have a lightweight flywheel (7.5lbs) on my other supercharged car and although it zips up the rpms nicely, a heavier flywheel is better for regular drive ability...
i still have to research clutch options. you're against ACT, i was checking out htg's site and his recommended setup was the oem disc, oem throwout bearing, act hd pressure plate. i have the act street hd on my other car (mp62) and it holds nicely and slips nicely with normal taking off from stoplight driving. can you elaborate on your opposition?

what is a "CC" ? centerforce clutch?

ACT feels awesome at first. but after a while with 4.77s and SC you'll get tired of pushing on that pedal. since switching to the ACT, one master cylinder started to leak and then i switched to a brand new oem one and that one is leaking less than a year later. i attribute it to the extra pressure placed on the seals when engaging the clutch. when it's time to switch i'm definitely going with a competition clutch because the pedal feel is light as oem (although the harder pedal allows you to shift MUCH quicker and feels great at times). it's not that i never liked the hard pedal, but when you DD the car and you have to shift as much as you and i do, you really wish you went with something softer.e
