Vortec Control box wiring
I am helping a friend with his Vortec Supercharger. The car hesitates above 3k. needless to say the shop he had do he install totally botched the wiring pretty bad.
I have the Vortec diagram. if I am reading this diagram correctly are the pairs of wires coming from the control box just supposed to tap onto the OEM wires or should they cut the OEM wire and run through the control box (this is how they have it currently wired)
everything is so chopped up its hard to tell.
does anyone have a photo of their wiring?
Kenneth

thank you jdms2000. that's what I needed to know. the vortec diagram just showed the wires from the control box running parallel to the OEM wires. it really looked like I was just supposed to tap them onto the OEM wire. (two dots side by side on the same wire)
it looks like they wired it correctly by cutting the OEM wires. I replaced their hackjob butt connectors and soldered most of the connections but it didn't make any difference. the car still can go wot over 3k.
the car probably has some other issue. back to square one. I asked him to get a dyno test done so we can get AFR readings. we'll see what it comes back with.
