I was wondering what the vortech timing adjustment box actually does. Does it have a set amount of timing that it adds accross the board or does it have its own maps stored where it would completely override the stock ecu's timing?
It has a preprogrammed timing retard map that is boost dependant. The controller offsets the TDC sensor inputs to fool the PCM to retard the timing.
It can be programmed with split second's R4 software via a serial cable.
