Vortech or Comptech

Both are good as far as reliability?
Reliability is more related to the driver/owner than the type of centrifugual blower that's installed.

i decided comptech just because i have heard lots of good things about their customer service, ...
i had a comptech supercharger on my car with stock pulley and i raced and beat a vortech supercharged s2k numerous times from a roll. This guy was also a good driver. We weren't sure if it was because of the different exhuasts on the car but my car pulled on the vortech pretty good
yea I want to get as much pwoer out of the car without going to the stanalone/bigger injector route.
It's my daily driver and I did all that stuf on my mr2 turbo (nightmare)
So I'm staying away from going that way.
I know that I can just bolt a 7psi pulley/up fuel pressure on teh comptech to get the same power as the vortec, but then I'm spending a bit more money and it brings the cost up.

I considered the fact that I was going to bore of the power no matter what the level, and decided to start out at the lowest boost level available. Leaves me more room to grow.

LOL, I understand about the MR2. I developed a dislike of fast-but-unreliable cars long ago.

I also like the way Comptech enriches the mixture under boost. To me an FPR seems a lot simpler than a black-box.
The Vortech black boxes are the MAP clamp and timing controller. The Comptech only uses a MAP clamp, called an ESM.
A long time ago Comptech used a check valve that didn't always hide boost from the PCM

I wonder how my Comptech SC/AC and 4.30 gears stack up against a Vortech SC/AC with 4.10's.
