S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

[QUOTE=xviper,Sep 6 2006, 04:16 PM]This is getting somewhat off topic, but I just want to finish this off.

There may well be another angle to such threads being shut down.

OK, let's just backtrack a bit here. Quoting what ek9 said:
However I found out that when you're just cruising around your AFR's are pig rich since you turned up teh fuel pressure...
You can't compare a/f of a car when it's "just driving around" to what you did on a dyno. On the dyno, you're WOT throttle from the word GO! WOT throttle, even below VTEC is still boosting. The fuel pressure WILL ramp up.
"Just cruising around" is part throttle and would not induce much boost below VTEC. This is not a good comparison. One does not necessarily relate to the other.
My car will fluctuate around 14.7 when "just cruising around", but anytime I go WOT, even below VTEC, the a/f instantly jumps to near 12. When you open up the throttle plate, you allow boost in. This is when the FMU will react. Too bad you don't have an A/F gauge in your car. You'd see this.

hrmm... we did several runs, some of them were part throttle runs, though i have to admit i dont quite remember if the AFR graphs i have were from the part throttle or WOT runs.

Thanks for the clarification though!

Guys any one got a phone number for Vortech & Comptech.

I want to SC a 04/05 UK car problem.
I need to work out the implications of the fact the ALL UK cars are still 2.0 and not 2.2 after 04. The map changes after 04 giving a smoother vtec transition.

Would a pre 04 kit from Vortech or Comptech work with out a seperate ECU and mapping

It's hard to say since I didnt do a before and after dyno, but im assuming if i crank up the fuel pressure, it would probably get richer everywhere.

This was my own interpretation, albeit probably a very uneducated one.
As I understand it, the Comptech FPR adjustable, both for static fuel pressure and the ramp under boost. Here's the information Comptech provides.

I have used the phone number on their Web site ((916) 939-9118) to contact Comptech USA, but I don't know if that will be of any help there in the UK.

Is there any reason (other than cost) that you couldn't simply drop in an ECU from an MY02-03 US spec car?

Not a bad idea on the ECU!

I've just been offered a GPW JDM 2000 car with out an engine!
