Default From Vortech To HKS Supercharger

Before

Now

Hey guys I used to have a Vortech supercharger and switch to the new HKS supercharger on my s2000. Im in love with this HKS supercharger. The rotrex adds a bit more mid range power also surpise with how much power you can get out of it. Here is a graph of my dyno on Evasive Motorsports Mustang dyno. Also known as the heartbreak dyno!

My dyno with the HKS supercharger

HKS also uses the same blower as the kraftwerks right? Way too small if so. Would be good if they used the larger blower like TTS though. The smaller c30 blower just runs out way too low in power. For me at least.
Glad you are happy with it though. Vortech has much more power potential assuming the HKS has similar power capability compared to the kraftwerks kit.

This blower can go up to 20psi. The HKS supercharger rotrex is not the same as the Kraftwerks one. But the same charger that is on my s2000 is on the HKS D1 FRS which is making around 500. Vortech has more potential power but I have blown more then 3 bearings on the Vortech supercharger.

Oh nice. Didn't know they changed it and used a different blower. Are you upping the pulley size to get higher power?

Really, 3 rebuilds? That seems very excessive. Have you determined the cause? Could it possibly be due to the lack of dampening that causes a high amount of vibration on the blower from the crank?

How high were you spinning the vortech blower? Mines lasted over 60k miles now at 12.5 psi.
