Default vortech installed

First off I would like to thank the members that helped me clarify a few things prior to the install.

My vortech s/c was finally installed yesterday. It was a v2 ap2 kit I put on my ap1. Everything works and so far no cel or bogging down. The kit did not come with a map clamp vortech said they redesigned the kit for the ap2's that's why map clamp was not needed. I will be getting it tuned a week from now and let you guys know.

What should I be expecting psi and HP range with the 4.5 ap2 fully? 9 psi?

What are you getting tuned with? Have injectors I am guessing? Do you have a wideband gauge hooked up already?

Hmm might work like that. Guess you will have to see. Once you get some injectors and aem ems you will see some real nice gains!

I've always been curious where/how they tie in that 5th injector on this kit. Some pics would be great if you can post them

You will likley see 7.5-8psi at most with that pulley. Good for a bit over 300whp Dynojet.

The fifth injector is installed on the Aftercooler right before the TB. Here is a pic of it installed on a members car that I got the kit from.

Thanks for the pic, kind of a strange looking set up VT worked out there, especially considering the stock injectors with the appropriate adjustable fpr will supply enough fuel to not need it. Looked like a serious bung welded on to the AC. Is that how you get it from VT or do you have to get that welded on I wonder?

Thanks again joes.

From my understanding that is how the 04/05 vortech kit is. Just mount the injector into the bung and your in business.

I know I shouldnt do it but I tried bringing it up to 8k and from 5k+ it seems like it boggs out a bit but the rpms keeps slowly climbing? The neo is set to off any ideas?
