Vortech SC head unit CCW or CW?
When you purchase a Vortech for any car, they are either Counter Clock wise or Clockwise rotation. You view this direction from the gearbox side.
They other issues are: Does it blow straight or curved out of the compressor, and doe sit blow to the passenger side or the driver's side.
I see from the Vortech pics that it blows straight to the driver's side, though it is turned upside down, with the gearbox clocked to let the belt operate at the back.
It Looks as though it turns CCW, or CW from looking at the compressor side.
If this is true, I already have a V-1 Vortech, and could use it for the kit and simply buy a partial kit, or sell the new SC to help with the funds.
Anybody know?
Thanks,

Weeeelllll,
I called Vortech, and they were very helpful. The sales guy explained that it is INDEED a V-2 Counter Clockwise, but it is also a SC trim, and not an S trim, which is what I currently have.
He suggested that if I was goingt to piece this together, that to stay at thier designated 8psi, the SC pulley would have to go from 5 or 5.5 inches. That would be if you wanted to stay stock.
But since I was planning on putting an AEM 1052U on anyway, I could probably properly tune the car with ehatever mid range pulley I wanted. Maybe add that thicker headgasket on there to be safer, and then that would mean ARP head studs and a header.
Boy that gets expensive.
The good news? They sell a "tuner" kit and a "base" kit, one of which is a complete kit with everything EXCEPT the headunit, for 3300.
Nice. And that includes the aftercooler. A 1500-1700 dollar savings, depending on where you would buy your complete system.
Too bad I missed out on a good buy of a complete kit for 3500 in SoCal. I could have sold the V2 and made out with a complete kit for around 2500. Damn.
