Default Vortech supercharger from 2006 into 2000 S2000?

Hi Guys

Hope this is the right sub-forum - and I did try searching - just couldn't find the right results.

I've been offered a barely used, 1,600miles Vortech supercharger for my S2000 for around half the selling price.

The problem is, I have a 2000 S2000, and its coming off a 2006 S2000 - will this work without any issues? I know the 2006 is drive by wire... and I see that they're listed as seperate kits on the Vortech site - if it is possible to get it working on my S2000 - what would I need to change?

Currently running a Skunk2 megapower exhaust, decat, K&N intake and ACT Clutch kit.. everything else is stock 2000 S2000.

Many thanks.

Also, you would need a new pulley.

thanks for the help - currently trying to get the exact kit number from him...

But from what I understand, there are no major differences between the <2006 and >2006 chargers?

the pulley that came with his kit is a 4.5" pulley which will give you 10psi. If you go with that pulley, you will need to get some injectors as well. the stock AP1 pulley for the kit is a 5" pulley @ 7.5psi.

Don't forget a fuel pump, I don't think the dbw kit came with one. Also you'll probably need injectors since it doesn't come with that FMU thing. (whatever the fuel pressure increaser thingie is, not the fuel pump)

He is including the fuel pump he bought - he's basically upgrading to something bigger...

Spoke to a guy that worked on the car this afternoon - says it actually has 22,000miles on the supercharger, but is in good condition... how long do these things last?

The supercharger probably costs around $6,250 over here brand new - I can have his for $3,750, might be able to get him down to about $3,125 - would it be a worth while investment?
