I bought this kit used from a fellow s2ki member. I just fired it up and it doesnt sound right. There is a small leak between the charger and air cooler because i forgot about one clamp. But what do you guys think? https://www.youtube....h?v=j7Apose9m8c

i brought the engine to about 1700 rpm and the sound seems to go away.

 

That sounds like a Vortech. They make lots of noise.

 

That's totally normal.

Vote for normal, SOS sounds like a cement mixer.

my vortech sounds the same, at first i thought it was a bearing or something, bought the kit n upgraded aswell.

Mine doesn't sound that bad. I hear a bit of non constant gear backlash but not a consistant ''coffe grinder'' noise.
Make sure all blower bolts and bracket bolts are extra tight. I got rid of two vibration rattling noises with a bit more torque on some bolts.
Does it quiet down when hot?
