Default vortech supercharger interchangeable?

I have a friend that had a mustang vortech supercharger with everything but the pipe that goes to the throttle body and intake arm. He says I can put it on my car by buying correct mounting brackets and the pipe that goes to the throughout body. Just wondering what you guys thought, is it true? I'm thinking the idle bracket would be needed too, i'm guessing mustang has a different idle.

If his vortech unit is the same model as the one that comes w/ the s2000 kit , than yes it can work. But you still need the mounting brackets for the S2k and they usually don't pop up for sale separately. Other parts of the kit might have to be modified & repositioned too. You would save a lot of time & trouble just buying a used S2000 kit instead.

also there's the clockwise versus counterclockwise thing.

I think having a blower with a clockwise volute may not work well with the S2K.

Gotta find out what blower it is. Not sure how much the mounting bracket is but my guess is they cost a lot from vortech. Of course will also need either all the crappy piggy back items or just get standalone ecu with it. Does it come with An aftercooler? You will need one of those with the pump, lines, heat exchanger etc as well
If you need to buy all those separate than you will be much better off buying the used s2000 kit. Just the hardware will run you a few hundred for the kit. I bought my kit used and missing a bunch of little things. Spent probably 400-500 just on hardware and little things here and there and the kit I bought was meant for the S2000.

Thanks guys, it seems like too much trouble to even try. I'll wait for a used one to pop up.
