You should definitely look into installing it yourself. Not just for the $$$ savings, but you'll also learn some valuable information about your car...definitely handy for times when you need to make any adjustments/repairs to your engine or S/C.

If anything, you might wanna arm yourself with the proper tools, set aside a decent amount of time (you don't wanna rush it...personally, it took one whole weekend to install my CTSC), and having the Helms manual around wouldn't hurt.

Good luck!

if its a new kit, go ahead and give installing it yourself a shot. even if you get to a point where you have to throw in the towel and taking it to a shop, all you really need to do is throw the air box back on along w/ the vac. lines. No step in the install process take you to a "point of no return" situation really, cept maybe tapping oil pan w/ vortech which is easy and you could outsource if u get stuck. You've got notihng to lose really cept maybe a few hours of your time, and you could save yourself a chunk of change and gain some valuable knowlage about your FI set up.

wires might give you a har time, if thats the case, throw on the unit, leave the belt pulled to the side, and drive the car to a pro and just have them do the wiring. you will still learn a ton.

Give me $100 and a few burgers and I'll do it in front of you.
