vortech T trim upgrade
So amidst all these great kits among us putting out great numbers, I started getting the itch to upgrade my vortech setup. I had been reading Sideways' posts and thought the T trim a great option.
I *just* got off the phone with vortech and learned my blower can not be upgraded to T-trim, however it could be converted to the Si trim which would increase CFM about 15% or 150 cfm. This would cost approximately 400. The T-trim would require total reworking of the blower and really wasn't feasible.
Additionally, seeing the 928 impeller as a non-starter this leaves us vortech folks pretty much capped out around 400whp.
Thus, now I'm in the camp waiting for the new kraftwerks blower.

$400 sounds good. When I spoke to a tech with good knowledge (Jamie) at Vortech, he said the internals of the Si trim are identical to the Novi 1200 (and the SCi = Novi 1220). You can be good for 500whp.
Thanks! That's good to know. I'll be trying the Si upgrade. Spoke with vortech again. Appears I missed some critical information. ANY v1-v3 blower will bolt on to our bracket. So if you want the Ti trim, you can get it, but you must trade in your old unit and buy the new one outright. The down side to this is the Ti only comes with straight cut gears so is louder.
