Default Vortech V2 questions

I'm searched the forums and saw that the AP2 V2 Vortech Supercharger will fit the AP1. But I have a question regarding that.

1) Will the black box work on the AP1?
2) I have an Apexi Neo and will I be able to use that instead of the Blackbox for the time being till I get an EMS?
3) Will I have to use the 5th injector or can I just bypass that?
4) I know I will have to get a Walboro fuel pump is there a specific one that I will need?

Anything else I need to know about for the install? Thanks.

UPDATE!!!!
I just got off the phone with split sec. They make the black box for the vortech supercharger system. They looked at the specs for me between the ap1/ap2 black box and everything is the same. Only difference is the ap2 blackbox has a program that controls the 5th injectors. So an ap2 supercharger is a direct bolt onto the ap1 if you use everything. Also the black box is programmable just need the software and cable from them.

You should be fine . You will see more boost with the ap2 kit though as you rev 1k higher . As far as the 5th injector goes it would be wise to use it . Ap1 kits run VERY lean stock and Ap2 kits run nice and rich due to the 5th injector . Everything should work fine . Just make sure to be careful when drilling/tapping the fuel rail as its somewhat easy to screw up . Just use the stock electronics and forget about that apex control . Also any 255lph walbro will be fine . Good luck !

So your saying use the supplied ap2 black box? and leave the neo the way it is. Also will I need to upgrade injectors or can I use the stock one?

If you leave the kit stock then you should be ok . Stock injectors are fine for stock boost (7~8 psi). Just install everything as the instructions say and you should be fine . Use the supplied box .

You would want to change out that pulley since it will run higher boost on your car. I would swap that out for the stock 5" pulley for an AP1. You will most likely run way too lean otherwise.
I didn't even use a blackbox on my kit until I was tuned. Comptech kits don't have a timing box at all. That's all the black box does. There is also a map clamp box to hide boost from the ecu.

So I can't run the stock ap2 pulley and need the stock pulley for ap1 from vortech?

I ran really lean with the stock vortech pulley so the smaller AP2 pulley with stock injectors and all I would bet you will run pretty damn lean. Might not but thats an extra 1 psi at least I think.

What about the 5th injectors from vortech if I use that like said earlier on my Ap1 would that help or should I just get larger injectors?

It might help. That is used on the AP2 to make the same 7 psi that the AP1 pulley would make on your car. So now that you have the smaller pulley it will still be making an extra lb over the AP2 and AP1 stock. So very likely you will run lean. The car will run 1000 times better if you do get some ID injectors and a stand alone for the tune! That is a lot of extra money though. Once I finally got tuned on aem ems it was night and day difference!
