The easiest way to check the Comptech one is to remove the filler nut and look inside, the water swirls around when working correctly
I assume this should be the same for the vortech aftercooler? I'll check it tomorrow.

You can verify the pump is moving coolant through a Vortech aftercooler by removing the fill cap and looking inside.

Vortech's method of wiring the relay can be suspect. They want to to grind clearance on the blower motor relay and power up the aftercooler pump relay with a wire attached to the pins on the blower relay. Not necessarily the best electrical connection for long term use or vibration resistance.

I checked the pins on the blower relay. Looks ok. Pump is definately not working. I could barely reash it through the grill and noticed what looked like the ground on the pump seems loose...

I have some other work to do under my bumper cover but am not prepared yet, I was going to pop this off and look into my pump at the same time, I have a wind splitter and adjusting rods so its a bit more involved to take off and I just put it back on 4 days ago, just my luck! So anyway, I want to wait. My question is, will I cause harm or over heat anything if my pump is not working wile I drive in the meantime? I assume it will be fine, I just may not get my full power do to some heat soaking. Anyone have any input on this? I'd rather not risk damaging or shortening the life of my blower or engine so let me know if I'm accurate in my assumption of being fine to drive without problem. Or if I need to not drive till I get it working again. Thanks much!

9kfever: pop the plastic under the bumper or between the bumper and core support.

s2000junky: you'll be fine.

Problem solved I think. Made sure everything was snug and still no luck. Then I started thinking back. About 2 months ago I hit a curb and had to get the radiator support and bumper replaced. I hit the curb at about 15 mph and pulled over to check my car out. After stopping for a few minutes I tried to start it with no luck. Battery ended up testing bad? Has been running good for a while. So I retrace the battery connection to make sure all is good and what do I find?

What size fuse is supposed to be in there? That was all that was left, the rubber top was blown open. Think Ill be good after a fuse? I pulled the remnants of the fuse out.

Threw a 15 amp backup out of my oem fuse box in there and all is well. Cold as ice. My friend claims he thinks my fuse has been out since March when he felt the cooler. Said it was no where near as cold as my old car but he didnt want to say it

Mmm, I don't have a fuse in line on a power wire like yours. different set up I guess. Wonder what the problem with mine is.
