Default Vortex Supercharged S with P0236 Fault Code

So I have been running a Vortex for a few years but can't figure out the cause or likely correction to get rid of the engine light on my dash. The code reader says its 0236 which I believe is a faulty turbo boost sensor. I assume that's the same for a supercharger. Since I don't believe the stock engine had such an animal on it I'm not sure where to find this animal or if its reading a different issue. Has anyone had any experience with a problem like this???

No such thing as a boost sensor on this car. Not sure where your getting that from.

Its Vortech btw.

Thanks for that catch. The fault code is coming from the reader at my friendly local Advanced Auto . Most auto parts store readers just pump out generic codes. INo idea what the equivalent Honda code is but already figured the stock engine does not have this sensor as there's no induction and nothing like that in my shop service manual. I 'm wondering now if its picking that up from something in the actual VORTECH system or the Apex vtech controller I have installed. Car runs good but the idiot light is disturbing.

Thanks for that catch. The code is from my local Advanced Auto stores reader. They only pump out the generic codes. Not sure what the corresponding Honda code might be but already figured out there's no sensor like that on the stock engine. I'm wondering now if it could be picking that up somehow from something in the VORTECH system itself or the Apex Vtech controller I have installed which does supposedly have the ability to modify airflow. Car does run great though the idiot light is distracting.

I would reset the light and see if it comes back and under what condition. You should have the ability to see freeze frame data with the right OBD2 tool. I've done that in the past and realized it was when I fat fingered something on emanage airflow adjustment value and it went past OEM ECU's acceptable parameter. Freeze frame data helped me pinpoint that issue.

It's VTEC btw.

Yeah it sounds like something (the Apexi VAFC probably) is manipulating the MAP sensor a bit to much which causes the error code.

Thanks ..that makes some sense. I've never intentionally reset any of the controls/parameters with the APEX for fear of blowing something up LOL ..and had it so long I can't even remember how to do mods with it..... .but it is mounted in the console where the cup holder used to be so my arm is resting in that area a lot which could create a major extended fat finger incident. PS another good catch ....spelling grammar and spell check were never my strong suites!!

Makes sense. I drive em but the controller /tech part is a bit over my head . I've been studying the manuals but the directions are not that clear so I just might have a tuner look at it. Also I may have to make some kind of shield to keep from fat arming the control buttons. I curious where other owners have mounted their control units?

I leave mine loose and stick in the passenger side net storage and pull out if i want to make an adjustment. Its out of the way and easily accessed.
