Well I put the new clamps on tonight and wired in a relay and fuse to get 13.5 volts but every time I turn the key the 15amp fuse under dash keeps blowing. I checked for shorts but can't find any. Wired in like this...
Relay prong 30 goes to 30A fuse to bat power
Prong 87 goes to the yellow/green wire from hanger
Prong 85 to ground
Prong 86 to yellow/green from harness

This has to be correct and I soldered shrink wrapped and electrical taped all connections

I'm stumped, did I do something noticeably wrong?

The above connection is shorting to ground.

With port 85 not connected to ground I'm getting 12 v, but as soon as I ground it out I blow the 15A under dash fuse for the fuel pump.

This lead me to believe I had a short so I ohm the wires out from the oem fuel relay all the way to the ground I have coming off the relay I added, no resistance.

I'm stumped

I am getting high resistance on the oem fuel pump relay from the black/yellow to black, but again I do get power all the way to the ground coming off prong 85 so I can't see it being the relay if its still powering the circuit

Finally fixed it the relay I bought was apparently bad, although it tests good. Swapped out relays and it fired up and I must say that fuel pump sounds much more beefy

Had some time to do some logging this week. It's getting lean and cutting out at 7200 randomly. Rewire did not fix my issue either. Time for a new pump

New filters and pump went in today. I stuck with the OEM harness from the pump to the hanger.

Did a street pull to 8500 and the pressure stayed solid so I think I'm good.

Retune for Monday so I will know for sure then.

No dice on hanger and pump. It "seemed" to be ok until things heated up. Same pressure drop but at a higher RPM.

Tried direct wire from battery and new FPR.

I have decided to go with a surge tank and external bosch 044 since this is a track only car so I may never figure out what the actual problem was...

Which fuel pump is better and reliable Aero 340 or walbro 225? I know both pump are different.
