You will have issues with this. You need to remove all existing wiring and pins. Replace it with larger supplied wire and new pins from the SOS kit.

dont be a fool, use the right tool. The sos wire kit is only $60

i did install the SOS re wire kit (but b4 I got the 450). Not sure if u have the walbro 450 but it's not a connector leading to the pump. The top is in-cased with its leads coming out (wires). You can't swap to larger wires. So it must have been designed with these wires being sufficient. They looked to be a thicker silver braid (less resistant) and also it's been running flawlessly. This is a old thread, I re did the above solution prior to the 490/343 dyno on my build thread back @Oahu HI. Also trekked over 1600 miles to Kansas from San Diego (Long, hot, and plenty of heat soaks/draw/and run time)

just FYI the whole thing came up because I wanted to run the 450 straight to the connector. Later realizing the sos wires were used from pump to hangar (when installed with old kit). So it didn't really matter but was trying to just make one clean connection (but was out of pins) so technically it has 450 pump wire, soldered to sos wire, going to oem connector.

Lol, point of the story. Do everything once, take your time and better to have a garage an second car lol.

the 450 is really a great and quiet pump. I love it compared to my W 255. With its E compatibility and all around capability I shouldn't really need anything else down the road. (Street car, straight line haven) application. Should of started with it off the bat.

I installed the sos kit on my buddy's car it came with the pins needed for the oem connector. I just cut off the plug on 450 pump crimped the supplied pins and installed them into the factory connector. Not sure if you had the 450 install kit with bracket, but this kit is very nice and oem quality.

Correct. Walbo 450 wires to SOS included pins for inside the tank area. On top you need to run SOS supplied wire with with SOS supplied pins.
