Default Walbro Fuel Pump

I think my fuel pump is making some sort of whining noise. It almost sounds like the noise it makes when you reverse. Is this normal?

Thanks.

They are noticeably louder than the stock pump.

Is it a new install, or did you just start to notice this?

Walbro pumps don't do well when the fuel level is low, fyi.

Walbro's are a bit noisy, and it doesn't help that it sits right behind your head

This reminds me, I can hear my pump noise/wine change pitch …or audible level in sync with my blinker on. It’s done this for some time, never had it be an issue, though I wonder if I'm lacking some voltage to the pump at idle? If so, maybe I’m not getting the best fuel delivery I could be, this is just some random thoughts I have. Any thoughts?

Mine makes a lot of noise too. It's just a new noise to you, that is why you hear it so clearly/ loudly. It's fine, just ignore it and after a while you'll never know it was there.

You think one makes noise, you should hear two of them whining right behind your head at a full 13-14 volts. LOL
