Thumbs down A Warning to Greddy Turbo Guys

Well, my A/C has not been working, one day out of nowhere of course, so I bought some Recharge fluid and lo and behold I hear a Hissing and see some smoke, so upon further inspection My Low Pressue A/C line somehow has been resting upon one of the Braded lines for the Oil Relocation kit and literally melted a hole right through it

I am doing some work on my car this monday with a very skilled fella who has everything imaginable, from tools to lifts, and is pretty good at welding. If I remove my Oil Relocation kit, do you think it will be possible to Weld the hole up? or is it to tricky with all the stuff in that small of an area?

You sure it didn't rub through it? Oil doesn't usually get hot enough to burn aluminium. Did you wrap heat wrap all the way down the line? Not only does it protect the line, it prevents the evaporant from gaining heat.

might have rubbed through it, the braided line gets super hot, but maybe it did rub through. It was not heat wrapped (lesson learned), My buddy said we can try JBweld or something like that..........

Don't bother. Replace the line. The pressure is way way up there on the refrigerant.

Buy a new line. Trying to weld it back up will be an act of futility.

You'll need a drier as well. Take it a a shop with new AC recovery equipment.

Braided stainless steel lines will cut anything they touch, they must be insulated.

Majestic Honda. Pretty well known. Just make sure you order the correct hose. Some are less. I can't really tell where yours is hitting, I bent my bracket away from all that. Post a pic if you need help. Good luck!
