Default Wastegate Through the Hood

just a little something i worked on today...had some boost spike when it was colder last fall/winter. we'll see if this helps a little bit

Old setup was a long 1 3/4 " dumptube with a long bend. smaller diameter, more bends, more resistance. it also sandwiched the oil return line between the dumptube and the manifold.

my engine bay is a mess because my car has been sitting and i have been doing body work on it, so ignore the sanding dust/dirt etc lol

old dump tube:

new stainless pieces...

where it sits...

new 2" dia, short, one bend. should help, and scare the passenger when i hit full boost

with the grill...i'll probably switch to a different grill soon, i want black with round drilled holes

all wrapped up...just missing a hose clamp

Looks pretty cool, just dont drive in the rain or leave it in the rain.

What the crap happened to the hood cutouts? looks like someone had a shakey hand. LOL

Seriously, I was just about to post it needs one of those flaps, lol. Any time exhaust comes out of the hood you just gotta get yourself a bad ass flap on there, haha

I'll just cover it after I park the car. I rarely drive it in the rain. Ohh and the hood cutouts..it was the first time I ever used my air saw lol. Guess I shoulda practiced before I started on my hood! O well, with the mesh in there you can't really see that it's uneven.
